Description
Beautiful unique garden featuring large ponds filled with water lilies and bog plants saturated in a completely natural setting. Never been milled due to the giant volcanic boulders covered in lichen and moss. Many native and exotic species including giant Taraire, Puriri, Kiwi and glow worms.
Has featured on Maggie’s garden show and in most of New Zealand’s gardening magazines.

Kiwi habitiat. Glow worms at night, views of local historic landmarks – Te Heu Heu, Taratara. There is a well known park over property (POP) for NZ Motorcaravan Assoc (NZMCA).
Open: 10am-6pm daily (excluding Christmas day)
Admission: $6.00 winter, $10 .00 summer. Half price for children. Discounts for groups by negotiation. Guided tours can be arranged.
Directions: 15 mins north of Kerikeri on State Highway 10, turn into Matauri Bay Rd. Follow the signs (2.5kms from Matauri Bay Rd corner)
