The CHS is indebted to Kate Spackman who accepted the challenge of organising and managing the KidsZone stand at this year’s Ellerslie Show. Kate has been supported by a planning team involving Daggi Goeke, Dave Adams, Colin Meurk, Annie Martis, Bryce Morrison, Chris Macann, Jenny Houliston, Joanne Doak and CHS Board members Alan Jolliffe, Annette Hill and Ray King. First day attendance was understandably on the low side but those who did visit enjoyed the flax weaving, moss & lichen planting in mini pots, flower colouring, nature watch and seeing “massive” aphids via a digital microscope!
